There will be thousands of healthy herb plants for sale at the Herb
Society's annual Herb Faire on Saturday, May 30. I know many SCAdians
have attended this event in the past -- please be aware that the
location has changed. We are no longer at Concordia U. in Mequon, but
at the Boerner Botanical Garden in Whitnall Park, Hales Corners, on the
SW side of Milwaukee County. This was our original site and we are
happy that with the new visitor center there is enough room for us to
return to Boerner.
We'll also have displays, talks and demos of many kinds related to
gardens and uses of herbs, and there will be a tearoom, too, so you can
get refreshments and carry on shopping.
Parking and admission to the Herb Faire is free on that day, courtesy of
Milwaukee County Parks Department
Boerner Gardens has a wonderful herb garden, as well as one of the
All-American test gardens for roses, for flowers, and for vegetables.
It also has one of the best rose gardens in the midwest, and is in a
beautiful setting. There will be tours of the Garden at intervals all day.
