Is it common for folks to wear the same garb for multiple events?
Oh yes! Many of us have some real oldies that we keep on dragging around
because they are still quite serviceable. I have found a 'mix and match' set
of chemises, skirts, overgowns and bodices to be invaluable. For a male, I
would think something equivalent in shirts, trews, and vest/doublets/overtunics
would be a great way to start out. Practical, convenient, and layering
keeps you nice and warm, or cool, depending on weather. Further, when garbing a
child, you can pick up an extra yard or two and make them matching garb.
Makes it easier to find them.
