Sorry for the delay in responding! I am catching up after Crown and Coronet events. I made the cape using Master Rashid's pattern and coat weight wool. The persian lambswool is the curly lamb (silver grey). I am not rich, <g>, just good at finding old fur coats and taking them apart. I used 4 coats to make the complete lining and became quite adept at using two thimbles on a forefinger and thumb. The cape is heavy but due to Master Rashid's great pattern, hangs so evenly that it is quite comfy. Also, I wore it to Estrella and stayed warm at night when it was 17 degrees out side. I used a clasp from Raymond's Quiet Press, although in retrospect a silver clasp would have been good, although I love the brass clasp.
If I can find a better model than myself, I will try to post a photo this weekend.
