I taught some years ago and is called Clothing Names of the High Italian
for some reason I thought people should know the names of the clothing...
it started when I was reading Pisetsky and found out all these names for one
dress in one language...
the Gammurra was the simple dress, which was not worn alone outside the
house by ladies of means. The Cotta was what could be worn alone, and it was
a fancier dress...
The Gammurra was worn under the Giornea, and it was just a basic undergown.
