Hello Richard and other interested parties in the York Round,
      The "Prince's Reckoning" or "Prince's
Lengths" refers to the Prince Regent during the Reign of George III of
England(mid to later 18th century). The Prince was an avid archer and
set the distances of the York Round and designed the five ring target
      that we still use today.
All of which was well after SCA period.
      Repectfully,
      -Geoffrei
