Subject: Re: [SCA-Archery] Crossbow Bolts...?greetingsok, finally got it to work, but several of the pics in the pic section show red x's instead of thumbnails : / , anyway the question seems to be which fletch cut to use , is this correct ?if so , they are all the correct fletch to use ; )now for the details, it really depends on what you want your bolts to look like and do, larger fletching , or cuts with more surface area will create more drag and make you bolts drop faster.smaller fletches will help with more range.same with length of fletch, and height of fletch, the more surface area the more drag.whether to paint and wrap depends on your personal preferences, and how well they work on your particular bow.even the size shaft really depends on what you want to do with it...your tip , fletch, and shaft should work together and balance to give you the desired effect.heavy shafts, points, and large surface area fletches will do wonders to help with close range climb, but can be a pain at longer ranges, where lighter shafts, points, and lesser fletches would give better performance.but again this all relies on how well they fly from your bow : /at least that's what I've found ; )Be Safe , Be Happy, Have Fun .
