SSAC crossbow rules
- The Period division rules for the SSAC follow the IKAC Period division rules except for a change to Period Crossbow rules.
The IKAC rules state:
"PERIOD CROSSBOW DIVISION:
Only period style crossbows may compete in this Division. Crossbows may compete only in the crossbow Divisions.
To be counted as a period style crossbow all the following conditions must be met: 1) The stock must be made of wood. 2) It may not have a rifle-style butt. 3) It may not have a modern style lock (period forms of self-resetting mechanisms are fine, however) or a trigger. 4) It may not have sights."
However, for the SSAC there is a change to part 3 of the IKAC period crossbow rules. It is changed to: 3) It may not have a modern style lock (period forms of self-resetting mechanisms are fine, however) or a MODERN STYLE trigger. 4) It may not have MODERN STYLE sights. BUT MAY HAVE A PERIOD STYLE REAR SIGHT ONLY WITH NO FRONT SIGHT.
