Subject: [SCA-Archery] list members
At the end of the last posting a comment was made regarding the
members of this list. I recently checked the membership and found we
have 1131 people signed up on this list. I am sure some of them no
longer are valid or active accounts but I expect most are. This
indicates that the vast majority never post to the list and, based on
general demographics, many of those listening are casual archers. In
my early days in the sport, I would listen to the most skilled
archers and learn the craft from their conversations. I am sure
there are many doing that now. Revisiting these basic observations
from time to time is a good idea, not only to inform those new but
unknown to the list but also to keep the rest of us thinking. I know
I constantly find nuances of performance I didn't think were
important every time I return to the basics. Keep reviewing the
basic factors, it is good for all of us.
