      Hundred Years War, Sir Robert Salle was said to have
      been of unfree origins. It the story is correct, his
      early military career must have been as an archer.
      Sir Robert Knollys may have been a Cheshire archer
      when he first foutht in France in the Company of Sir
      Hugh Clveley."
