an inquiry to the Museum of London. They have a lot of leather
artifacts, both in their published papers and in the collection on
display to visitors. When it comes to preserving leather artifacts from
the Themes river valley, they would appear to be the experts.
I haven't spoken to them on this issue. But if anyone wanted to try to
find primary source material, that's where I would start my search.
