one shoot at Grand Tournament
- Just to encourage a few archers to come to the
2nd Grand Tournament of Archery and Greenwood Challenge -
Saturday, June 12, 2004
26245 King Rd., Romulus, MI 48174
Shoot: Rolling Archer - horseback simulation
Sponsor: Master Forester Ian Gourdon
total points: 30 possible per pass/2 passes
Desc. of shoot: The archer will shoot riding a moving 'horse'. It will be
possible to shoot up to six arrows, at three targets: a bull, a wand, and
an animal. Good hits 5 pts (inner bull & wand), lesser hits/wounds 3.
Arrows must be shot while moving, so not everyone will necessarily get
off 6 arrows. Variable distance from 10 to 25 yds.
This is a rolling (pulled) horse sorta. We tried it out last fall at the
Gwyntarian Event, and quite a few of us learned a bit about the unusual
imput moving platforms have on shooting processes.
