      Hi Ann,
          Please post the following notice on the SACC-L listserve:

          The SACC invited session, "Current Issues in Anthropology: Five
      Fields Update" will take place at the AAA annual conference to be held
      in San Francisco in November.  The session will be held on Wednesday,
      November 15, from 6 PM to 7:45 PM in Franciscan B, Ballroom level.
      Panel participants include Linda A. Bennett ( U of Memphis ),
      "Developing a Consortium of Applied and Practicing Anthropology";
      Alessandro Duranti ( UCLA ), Linguistic Anthropology, Anthropological
      Linguistics and Sociolinguistics:  An Exercise in Nomenclature";  Susan
      D. Gillespie ( U of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign ), Teaching Archaeology:
      Preaching What we Practice";  Henry McHenry ( UC-Davis ), Biological
      Anthropology in the 21st Century"; Nancy Scheper-Hughes ( UC Berkeley ),
      Coming to our Senses:  Cultural Antropology at the Millenium."
          This should be an excellent session.  SACC members, please plan on
      attending the AAA meeting in San Francisco in November, and plan on
      attending all SACC meetings and sessions, including the "Five Fields
      Update."  I'll look forward to seeing you in San Francisco in November.
          Regards,
              Barry Kass
