      ----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Departments of Genetics and Anthropology of Rutgers University
are jointly seeking an outstanding scientist to fill a new position
in the genetics of human or primate evolution.  Some possible
research areas include:  evolutionary or comparative genomics; DNA
sequence based population genetics; and the use of multiple, or
highly polymorphic, genetic markers for field based evolutionary
studies.  The successful candidate will have a strong research focus
on evolutionary processes, and a willingness and ability to interact
both with geneticists and anthropologists.  Candidates must have a
Ph.D., a demonstrated ability to conduct and publish significant
independent research, and an interest in teaching at the graduate and
      undergraduate levels. Web Site:

Appointment is anticipated at the Assistant Professor, tenure-track
level; however more senior candidates with outstanding credentials
will also be considered.  The successful candidate will join a
growing and vibrant life sciences initiative on the Busch Campus,
which is located in central New Jersey with easy access to New York
      City, beaches, and countryside.
