Sussex County (NJ) Community College, where all the staff are strong, all the faculty are good looking and all the students are above average, is seeking a real-life, dyed-in-the-wool licensed archeologist with a strong interest in community archeology for an ADJUCT FACULTY position. The successful candidate will 1) teach ANTH131 Principles of Archeology for spring 2010, and 2) develop, design, and lead ANTH250 Archeology Field Experience for summer 2010.

The archeologist will be expected to identify sites for excavation within the Sussex County community. Said sites include, but are not limited to, paleo-Lenape encampments and burial sites, colonial sites, Antebellum slave quarters, and pre-Industrial manufacturing sites. The goal of this initiative is to bring archeology to the broader community in a fashion that helps the community better understand itself and its past.
