      GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES In this challenging role, you will support the
      Arts/Sciences Division -Behavioral-Social Sciences department at
      Greenville Technical College by teaching a broad variety of courses in
      Sociology. Duties may include any or all of the following:

      * Teach a variety of courses in the subject field of Sociology
      * Present material in a manner that fosters student understanding
      and coverage of vital concepts.
      * Adapt material and methods to meet student needs.
      * Establish environment conducive to learning.
      * Evaluate students, maintain records, maintain office hours.
      * Maintain professional development requirements.
      * Perform other duties as assigned


      Greenville Technical College (GTC) is the largest technical college in
      South Carolina and the third largest institution of higher learning in

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      A Masters degree in Sociology or a Masters degree in a related field
      with 18 graduate semester hours in Sociology.

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS M.A in Sociology, ability to teach a variety of
      sociology courses, teaching experience at the college level with
      significant work experience in the discipline of Sociology. Ideally the
      instructor should be broad based in a variety of Sociology courses.
