      Good day!
      Here are news bulletins from The Chronicle of Higher Education for Monday,
      February 7.

      * PART-TIME PROFESSORS in Washington State's community-college system
      won a key victory last week in their fight over retirement benefits. A state
      court ruled that institutions must count the hours part-timers spend
      preparing, advising, and grading-in addition to class time-when determining
      their eligibility for pensions. The ruling could pave the way for
      part-timers throughout the state to receive benefits they had previously
      been denied.
