      Truckee Meadows Community College is accepting applications for a
      full-time, tenure track, Anthropology Instructor. The Anthropology
      Program currently offers an Associate of Arts-Emphasis in Applied
      Anthropology and a Certificate of Achievement in Applied
      Anthropology-Cultural Diversity. The position will be filled by a
      person who is a competent generalist capable of teaching in all
      major subfields of anthropology from introductory classes through
      sophomore classes in such areas as Ethnic Groups, Biological
      Anthropology and Archaeology. The successful candidate should
      possess demonstrated teaching skills in one or more of these areas.
      The person will be expected to participate in mentoring anthropology
      students and part time instructors and to be actively involved in
      instructional and program assessment activities and student
      retention activities. . . This is a full-time, tenure track,
      anthropology instructor position reporting to the Department Chair
      of Social Sciences at Truckee Meadows Community College, in Reno,
      Nevada. The successful candidate will teach 30 credits (10 classes)
      per academic year (15/15) August through May. . . MINIMUM
      QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: 1) An earned Master's degree in anthropology
      from a regionally accredited institution; 2) Fifteen (15) semester
      credits of experience teaching lecture at the college level; and 3)
      Knowledge and ability to teach entry level courses in three of the
      following five anthropology subdisciplines: cultural anthropology
      biological anthropology, archaeology, linguistic, and applied
      anthropology. . . This position is scheduled to begin in fall 2007.
