In the interest of improving services provided to community colleges, the
American Anthropological Association is offering a new category of
membership in our Department Services Program, specifically designed to meet
the needs of community colleges. The Department Services Program (DSP)
provides information resources, job placement services, and knowledge
exchange that you will not find anywhere else! DSP enrollment is effective
for one academic year with an annual renewal schedule. Institutions need to
join now for the September 2004-August 2005 academic year. The deadline for
membership is October 31, 2004.
Through enrollment in the Department Services Program, your community
college will receive the following benefits:
� Five copies of SACC Notes, the biannual publication of the AAA Section
Society for Anthropology in Community Colleges, for distribution to your
faculty�a $75 value.
� Free access to the DSP-only listserv for departmental leadership. This
listserv, open only to DSP members, offers participation in discussion
groups around topics of critical interest to anthropology departments as
well as other special announcements regarding grants, funding and employment
opportunities (via the listserv-only newsletter The Department Round-Up) �

� Free set of mailing labels (upon request) of all institutions listed in
the AAA Guide�a $150 value.
� Special discounted rate for job listings on AAA�s new searchable career
website (www.aaanet.org - click the Careers button). Since August, 2001, we
