(FORENSIC ANTHROPOLOGY EMPHASIS)
Position Description: The Department of Anthropology is seeking a general
anthropologist with emphasis in forensic anthropology for an academic year
appointment (nine months) at lecturer or assistant professor level. The
appointment will require teaching on our main campus in Ellensburg and
possibly long distance to CWU-Centers.

* experience in osteological analysis, forensic anthropology, and
crime- scene training;
* interest in osteology of North America and NAGPRA.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach
introductory level general anthropology and biological anthropology courses.
Responsibilities will also include upper division courses for anthropology
and law and justice students.
Salary: Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience; the current
assistant professor range is $34,000 to $38,000.

comprehensive state university which serves approximately 8,500 students in
the Colleges of the Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Education and
Professional Studies, and School of Business and Economics. Primarily an
undergraduate institution, CWU emphasizes teaching (the normal load is 36
quarter contact hours per academic year). Graduate programs include the
interdisciplinary MS. in Resource Management, of which Anthropology is a
part. Anthropology has 9 FTE faculty members and 60 majors in all four
sub-disciplines, and maintains strong interdisciplinary ties with Biology,
