The Once and Future Action Network (OFAN) is organising a Virtual Pavilion
at the upcoming UNESCO World Conference on Science. The pur-pose of the
pavilion will be to highlight activities around the world in gender, science
      and technology.
The pavilion will include computer terminals with WWW access, and at least
      one VCR for videotapes.
We are calling on groups and individuals around the world to contribute in
      two ways:
      * Send us information on WWW pages and links in gender, science and
technology. They will be incorporated into the Gender, Science and
Tech-nology Gateway (GST Gateway), a WWW-based clearinghouse of information,
case studies and resources on gender, S&T for sustainable development. The
GST Gateway is a project of the Gender Advisory Board of the UN Commission
on S&T for Development, in collaboration with OFAN, and hosted by Women in
Global Science and Technology (WIGSAT). The Gateway will be officially
      launched at the conference.

*- Send us (or bring with you to the conference) videos on any area in
gender, science and technology for viewing at the Pavilion.
We intend that the Pavilion will highlight women's contributions in S&T to a
large international audience of researchers, agencies and donors. So please
help us out and send us your material!
Contact me, Sophia Huyer (shuyer@... <mailto:shuyer@...> ) for
information or details on what you or your organisation can contribute.
      Sincerely,
      Sophia Huyer
