The Once and Future Action Network (OFAN) is organising a Virtual Pavilion
at the upcoming UNESCO World Conference on Science. The pur-pose of the
pavilion will be to highlight activities around the world in gender, science
The pavilion will include computer terminals with WWW access, and at least
one VCR for videotapes.
We are calling on groups and individuals around the world to contribute in

technology. They will be incorporated into the Gender, Science and
Tech-nology Gateway (GST Gateway), a WWW-based clearinghouse of information,
case studies and resources on gender, S&T for sustainable development. The
GST Gateway is a project of the Gender Advisory Board of the UN Commission
on S&T for Development, in collaboration with OFAN, and hosted by Women in
Global Science and Technology (WIGSAT). The Gateway will be officially
launched at the conference.
*- Send us (or bring with you to the conference) videos on any area in
gender, science and technology for viewing at the Pavilion.
We intend that the Pavilion will highlight women's contributions in S&T to a
large international audience of researchers, agencies and donors. So please
help us out and send us your material!
