Group Description

Real Name: Anna Marie (last name unknown)
Affiliation: X-Men
Previous Affiliations: (X-Treme) X-Men, Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (II)
Aliases: Anna Raven
Relatives: Owen (father, deceased?), Priscilla (mother, deceased), Carrie (maternal aunt), Mystique (foster mother)
Alternate-X Versions: (Age of Apocalypse), (Mutant X), Ultimate), (The End), (X-Men: Evolution), Movieverse), (X-Men: TAS)
Codename Etymology: Pronounced rôg [Perhaps a 16th-century shortened form of roger (with a hard -g-), thieves' slang for a begging vagabond who pretends to be a poor scholar from Oxford or Cambridge, perhaps from Latin rogare "to ask."]; An unprincipled and unsavory person.
Powers: Rogue's mutant power is to absorb the memories, abilities and physical characteristics of anyone with whom she comes into flesh-to-flesh contact. However, she has no control over this power, which first manifested when she kissed a childhood boyfriend named Cody, and drained his energy and mind. Rogue was found soon afterwards by Mystique, who recognized her abilities and adopted her as a daughter. Rogue lived with Mystique and Destiny for a few years, and became a member of her mother's Brotherhood, engaging in many terrorist activities.
