spring CSM gathering, May 21st. Come knit socks!
- It's time for the annual spring CSM Sock Machine gathering at Rocking Horse Farm. Come join us for a fun time, Saturday May 21st from 10-6.
Past gatherings have featured knitters of all skill levels using many brands of vintage circular sock machines. Pete and Deb Oswald have been on hand to assist people with learning or adjusting their machines or learning new techniques. Rocking Horse Farm usually has shown new sock yarns or related products to keep people interested in CSM's and motivated to keep knitting.
New for this gathering will be the Erlbacher Gearhart prototype #18 (newly manufactured in the USA) on display for people to try. We've shown it at several seminars (Finger Lakes, New York, Purls of Joy, Shepherd's Harvest) and there has been a lot of interest.
New sock yarns by Regia and Marathon will be on display. Also, we have a supply of DVD's from Karen Pfundtner called "How To Knit a Hem Topped Sock" available. They sell for $20 +s/h. She has been selling them in her online Etsy store (Karen in the Woods) but they are new to us.
This event is free. We start around 10 and can stay until 6pm. Lunch is potluck.
You are welcome to attend even if you do not own a CSM. But be warned, you might get bit by the CSM bug and want one for yourself!
