Hello friends! Carole and Fred have returned from a trip to Europe with some interesting stories about shopping in Italian markets and other adventures.

Carole reports that Pashmina-style shawls are still the rage in Italy and they are made of all types of fiber, including cashmere. We have a pattern leaflet available to make a Pashmina on any knitting machine, including instructions for Passap, Brother/KnitKing, Studio/Singer and Silver Reed machines: $6.00 +s/h.

Pictures from Knitting Camp 2009 at Rocking Horse Farm have now been posted in the "photos" section of this yahoo group.

There is still a limited number of spaces available to attend our SEWING & EMBROIDERY CAMP, July 16-18 at Rocking Horse Farm.

We are pleased that Barb Kuklok will be present on Friday for some special extra classes, including a new table runner and a nice t-shirt with lace.

Carole Wurst will also be teaching a session on adding machine knit fairisle bands and/or collars to sweatshirts.

Pictures and a downloadable registration form are available in the "files" section of this yahoo group. This is a relaxing retreat atmosphere at an affordable price.

Threads n Scissors has posted new machine embroidery designs of realistic looking Schnauzer dogs. See one of them here:

A customer came to the store this week asking about DesignaKnit cables. The cables sold by the authorized DesignaKnit suppliers for Brother/KnitKing and Passap machines still have serial port ends on them (Silver Reed cables are USB) but new computers don't have serial ports. There are cable convertors available, but it might be difficult to know what will work.

There is a source for USB cables, however:

Notice there are specific cables for different machines.
