      Hello everyone!

Projects Carole is currently working on: new rug patterns for knitters, a rug that is made with wool roving and then felted, a knit Summer Beach Bag, infant earflap hat with ribbon embellishment, and more.

Barb is preparing new classes for our Sewing & Embroidery "Camp" retreat in July: a t-shirt with lace and a new table runner project. Pictures and a registration form are in the "files" section.

Jason is getting an assortment of rug patterns and ideas ready for the Summer issue of the ROCKING HORSE NEWS. He also recently revised, updated and expanded the book OUR FAVORITE PERSONAL TOUCHES for a SWEATER or SWEATSHIRT. The book now includes: Fairisle Cardigan Bands with 7 or 9 Buttons to add on to a sweater or sweatshirt, Carole's favorite Cut & Serge-or-Sew Neck, Knit Neckbands for Fleece Fabric, Hidden Zipper Bands, Ribbed Neck Insert for a sweatshirt, Removable Ribbed Cuffs, and project hints. Order yours today, $12.00 +s/h. (please add $5.49 for Priority Mail -or- $3.49 for regular mail to US addresses.)

      PROJECT IDEAS FOR FATHER'S DAY

Lion Brand Yarn has several ideas on their website, here:

Here is a nice embroidered sampler shown on a blog, it has a lighthouse with the saying "A father is neither an anchor to hold us back, nor a sail to take us there, but a guiding light who shows us the way."

Or how about a bunch of "#1 Dad" and "Super Dad" embroidery designs:

      NOTES FROM CAROLE

Here is a handy hint: when repairing knits or burying ends, try duplicate stitch... :)

When knitting on the machine, don't forget that you can bury ends automatically by e-wrapping them into the next row of knitting... ;)

Carole says "hello" to all the friends and subscribers she met while teaching at various seminars and events in the Midwest and Northeast US States and Canada recently... she wishes she had more time to chat about knitting but hopes to see everyone again sometime in the future. :)
