If you are not on the NCaFLL@yahoogroups.com (email group for local FIRST LEGO League interest), you may not have seen this announcement that went out last month.  Please note that an RSVP to Mark Edelman (not me) is required to attend.

      Subject: [NCaFLL] NXT Information Seminar

      All,

On Saturday, May 6th, from 2pm to 6pm, Google will be hosting an
"Introduction to LEGO Mindstorms NXT" seminar.  The seminar
will be held in one of the meeting rooms on the Google Campus.
Additional details on the room will follow.

For the past couple of months, I have been privileged to be
a part of the Mindstorms Developers Program and allowed to
participate in testing of the new Mindstorms NXT.

As of May 1st, the members of the program are released from our
non-disclosure agreement and allowed to start talking
about the NXT equipment and what we have learned.

There are an additional 4 testers in Northern California.
All have agreed to join me in giving all of you a chance
to learn as much as possible about the equipment as possible.

We want to share what we have learned with you to help all of
you make reasonable decisions on migrating to the
new equipment in this coming season.

The session will consist of one or more presentations on
the NXT equipment and software, several demonstrations,
and ample time for questions and answers.

If you are planning to attend, you must RSVP to

            marke@...

with a count of the number of people you will be bringing.  We
want to make sure that we don't overflow the space Google is
      providing!

It is possible that we may be able to setup additional sessions
later in the Spring and/or Summer if you are unable to join for
      this first session.

      Thanks,

      Mark Edelman
