See the www.RoboticsLearning.com web site for the schedule for Winter and Spring LEGO Robotics weekend workshops.

There is still space available in the following introductory robotics class in Palo Alto this Saturday:

      Saturday, February 7,  9:00 AM - 4 :00 PM
Mitchell Community Center, Palo Alto, California

This class is an introduction to building and programming robots using the LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Invention System. Students will learn mechanical design, construction, programming and teamwork skills. In small teams, using LEGO blocks, motors and sensors, students explore gears and pulleys, build and control a line drawing robot, and finally build a robot that can find its own way and avoid obstacles. Students use a computer to teach their robot to move, react, and make sounds in order to solve challenges. This class is good practice for kids or mentors interested in robotics competitions such as FIRST LEGO League. Adults are welcome to register. Bring a sack lunch for 45 minute break.

Also, we are now offering a NEW INTERMEDIATE LEVEL WORKSHOP for students who have taken the introductory workshop:

      LEGO Robotics Level 2 Workshop

This class introduces intermediate level topics building and programming robots using the LEGO Mindstorms Robotics Invention System. Students with previous LEGO Mindstorms experience learn mechanical design, construction, programming and teamwork skills. In small teams, using LEGO parts, motors and sensors, students build at least two different robot models and use a computer to program their robots to move, react, and make sounds in order to solve challenges. This class is good proactice for kis or mentors interested in robotics competitions such as FIRST LEGO League. Prerequisite: LEGO Robotics Workshop or Instructor approval. Adults are welcome to register. Bring a sack lunch for 45 minute lunch break.
