LEGO Robotics Opportunities
- LEGO Robotics Workshops:
- August 9 in Palo Alto or August 16 in Los Gatos
- 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM with a 45 minute lunch break (bring your own sack lunch)

- The August 16 workshop in Los Gatos has lots of space. This is a great opportunity to get extra personal attention with fewer students. Call Los Gatos Community Education at 408-354-8700.
This class is an extended introduction to building and programming robots using the LEGO® Mindstorms™ Robotics Invention System. Students learn mechanical design, construction, programming and teamwork skills. In small teams, using LEGO blocks, motors and sensors, students explore gears and pulleys, build and control a line drawing robot, and finally build a robot that can find its own way and avoid obstacles. Students use a computer to teach their robot to move, react, and make sounds in order to solve challenges. This class is good practice for kids or mentors interested in robotics competitions such as FIRST LEGO League. Minimum age: 8 or instructor approval. Adults are welcome to register.
