      Hello Everyone!

To help celebrate the 325th Anniversary of the first Welsh settlement
in Lower Merion and Narbeth, Riverbend will be hosting a program on the
people the Welsh met when the arrived in this area, the Lenape. On
Saturday, September 8th from 2:30-4:00, come and learn about the life
of these exciting people in Riverbend's demonstration Lenape Village.
Learn how the Lenape interacted with the natural world through hunting,
fishing, and gathering food from the surrounding forests. You will
also get to learn about what the Lenape ate and make a craft to take
home. Admission is free for this event!

If you can't make the program, we hope you will come out and enjoy the
trails this fall, remember the grounds are open dawn to dusk!

Hope to see you at Riverbend soon,
      Stacy
