I care. About you.
And that's why I'm going to start a mailing list. Not for any evil ulterior
motive, or to begin forming a world-wide network of robot minions with
which I shall one day rule. No. I'm going to start a mailing list because
I care about you and the things you have to say.
Robots, Rise!" though it will have little to do with robots.
I do find, however, that many of the people who read this site have an
awful lot in common, and that you'd probably like to talk to each other
if you had the chance.
"Why does the world need
yet another dumb mailing list?" you ask. The truth is, it doesn't.
Mailing lists are bland areas of pseudo-intellectual discourse and/or pop
references. And ours will be the same! But hopefully without the "bland"
part. Maybe it'll be a place where design/art kids can conspire and collaborate,
where people can write haikus about robots and other important issues,
and where people will pick up on your clever Rushmore references. O.R.
they? Hah hah hah! Do you feel smarter/prettier than your friends? You
probably are! You'll fit in right in.
"Wait, what's in it for
me?" you ask. Nothing! That's the beauty of it. You will gain little
from this experience, save for smug self-satisfaction and perhaps intellectual/cultural
enlightenment. And in the end, isn't that really what matters? Yes. Yes
