The idea of making Hogan's Heroes into a MOVIE has resurfaced. (See below) Personally, I wish they would leave what was alone!!! Most remakes of TV shows don't stay true to the original, and is this case, the original stars where SO much a part of the shows appeal!

I have VERY low hopes for the idea. Particularly, how the Heroes (such as Newkirk), would fair, since I think all the casting attention will go into the main Hogan and Klink characters. Your thoughts?

show/ or a movie based upon TV shows. PLEASE LEAVE H. H ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No one can replace the cast, especially Richard.

Well...in a way I agree however, we should all consider the following. The one good thing that always comes from remakes is that it brings the original back

Well...in a way I agree however, we should all consider the following. The one good thing that always comes from remakes is that it brings the original back into the limelite for a new generation. I agree the film could not compare to the original however as fans who want Richard's memory to live on this could be important. Certainly all the original dvds will be rereleased.

The only way I MIGHT like the idea, is if they did it as an animated movie, with new actors doing voice-over. That could actually work, but I don't think it's a possibilty they're even considering.
