    I thought I needed a new battery for my Simplicity tractor, but after removing the old one, I noticed this! (See pic.)
     
    Luckily the local John Deere dealer had a part that was similar, and with some adapting (and a few "choice" words!) I was able to install it, put the old battery back in and get the machine running.
     
    I saved the hassle of trailering the tractor to the shop and probably at least $75. labor -- plus I was able to cut the grass that same afternoon before company came the next day.
     
    I guess it never hurts to be an old country boy who grew up in the boonies, playing with wrenches and fixing stuff!
