X Post: Fort Dobbs Raffle
- Greetings List!
Sorry for the slightly off-period topic.
I'm happy to announce that the Friends of Fort Dobbs are now selling tickets for a raffle, the drawing for which will take place on Sunday, April 14, 2013 during the site's large "War for Empire" event.
There are three prizes, which include:
-A Middlesex Village 1756 pattern Long Land musket
-A Gerald Dukes powder horn engraved with the royal arms and "Ft. Dobbs, 1756" with display stand
-A 1750's style British hanger.
Tickets are $10 each and $40 gets you five. Cheques made out to "The Friends of Fort Dobbs" may be mailed to:
438 Fort Dobbs Road
Statesville, NC 28625
Credit and debit cards are also accepted. Call 704-873-5882 and ask for Scott or Genn for more information.
Fort Dobbs is North Carolina's only French and Indian War historic site. The non-profit Friends of Fort Dobbs support the site's educational programming and will be undertaking a full-scale reconstruction of the three story 1756 blockhouse in the near future.
