Dear List: While looking for something else (isn't that always the way?) in the printed Pennsylvania Archives, I ran across a reasonably extensive set of summaries of pension applications which appear to have been submitted to the State of Pennsylvania in the early 1800s. The summaries are entitled "Abstracts of Pension Applications on File in the Division of Pubic Records, Pennsylvania State Library," and are found in the 5th Series, Vol. IV of the published Archives. They can also be found online at fold3.com (formerly footnote.com).

Does anyone know if the original pension submission - as distinct from the summaries - still survive, and if so, do the summaries accurately reflect the content and amount of detail of the original submissions?
