The Nova Scotia Firefighter's Museum, which I believe is in Yarmouth, has an original 18th Century Fireman's helmut. Also a couple colours from the Halifax fire department. They look almost like regimental colours and are beautiful.

I've been searching for a picture, photo or discription of a 18th century fireman's helmet. I know of the portrait of Franklin but was it painted in the period?

      Thanks,
