  • Sometimes you come across a great band that you never heard of before. Here is a recording of a very good big band from 1926. Not an OKeh territory recording, but recorded in London, England. The only name I recognize is Johnny Dunn (and maybe Nelson Kincaid). Arabella's Wedding Day - The Plantation Orchestra, C.B Cochran's "Black-Birds" Revue - Columbia 4238 Arabella's Wedding Day...

  • Found this track on my computer but cannot find any information about who is playing and the date of this recording. The only thing I could find out is that it was recorded on Gennet/Champion. It is definitively a Chicago South Side style recording, probably from the late 20's. Can anybody help with personnel and date?
