As you might know, a group of us is revisting the Clarence Williams discography.
In a batch of additional information on Laurie Wright's "King" Oliver book, published in Storyville 141, it is pointed out that there is a second take of "Longshoreman's Blues" which was (re-)issued on the 25 inch London LP AL 3561. Does anyone have this and are they prepared to dub the track for the project?

The track also strikes me as a suitable candidate for a future Frog Spawn (how about it, Nick?), so does it exist on shellack? The take in question seems to be QRS matrix 272, but Laurie Wright cautions that the sleeve of the London LP gives "plain" takes for all items contained. The true matrix might just as well be 272-B.

      Many thanks in advance,
      Michael Rader
