Eldrige steps in to turn up the heat with the help of Big Sid's rimshots.
Hawkins, not to be outdone,
plays some really far out stuff and stretches out for about a chorus and a
half. Carter jumps back in
to ride the whole group out. Note how in Hawkins' middle break he starts to
play changes similar to the
mid-section of "Stompin' at the Savoy" and the other cats follow him. That's
not in Feather's piece, which
is typically rudimentary anyway."
