- In case no one has mentioned it - I've been away from my desk - her early
Paris recordings are available on Document DOCD5652 (assuming it's still
available). These are incorrectly stated by Rust to be of no jazz interest
though to be sure they mostly feature French and Belgian bands of no great
distinction. The music supports the view that you can't go far wrong with
the charleston. I dare say the Claude Hopkins band with the Revue Negre was
a good deal hotter!
