New MiRthkon, Jan Dukes de Grey, Happy Birthday Peter Hammill, Tull Anniversary
- Hello everyone …Specializing in rare cuts by classic and modern bands, Prog Rock Deep Cuts promises to match the obscure with the new and fresh. Intelligent, emotional, and visceral classic to modern progressive rock broadcasted live every Thursday from 7-10 pm EST on www.progrock.com.
This week (November 7th) will be yet another eclectic setlist, culled from as far back as the classic era, up until now, and everything in between. Artists in consideration for this week's setlist include MiRthkon and their new album "Snack(s)" - a wild, ensemble from the US who play zany, jazzy, Zappa-esque metal, complete with crunchy guitars and honking saxophones. In addition to this, Chrome Hoof - an English band effortlessly combining such disparate styles as Zeuhl, disco, pop, and psych - will make an appearance, as well as obscure acid-folk rockers Jan Dukes de Grey. In addition to this, we will also be celebrating the birthdays of Peter Hammill (Van der Graaf Generator) and Steven Wilson, as well as the 20th anniversary of Jethro Tull's 2-disc "Nightcap: The Unreleased Masters". Tune in for all of this and join the discussion in chat ... expect many, many surprises!Stream live here: http://www.loudcity.com/ stations/progrock-comChat link: http://www.progrock.com/chat. htmIf you represent a band and are interested in submitting your music for consideration, please send a press kit to:Prog Rock Deep Cuts with Ian BeaboutPO Box 6120Wheeling WV, 26003
