Thanks to all of you who sent good energy to hiker, adventurer/raw fooder, Doug Walsh.
- Thanks to all of you who sent good energy to hiker, adventurer/raw fooder, Doug Walsh. The weather changed just long enough for he and his companion to hike out to safely, after taking shelter for 36 hours and being wet and frozen (it was starting to be pretty scary). They are presently hiking another portion of the trail that is not experiencing blizzard conditions. They will return to the high mountains of Montana to complete that portion of the Continental Divide as soon as the weather conditions allow.
Doug's adventures are riveting and very enlightening to read. He sends his journal via email, with photos of his experiences so we can all live vicariously through his adventure. He is a great writer and his journals are action packed and illuminating. This is better than any novel!
Living Light is very proud that our graduate and friend, Doug Walsh, has chosen to make this hike on 100% raw foods in order to bring awareness of the health benefits of raw living food to the general public, as well as to help with the building costs of our new raw culinary facility, The Living Light Center.
Doug's journey began on Earth Day and will continue for another 3-4 months. Let's tell the world about this adventure and help bring it to the awareness of the public. Send this bulletin to your friends and alert your local media so they can follow his adventures too. This journey has the ability to capture the world's attention and change the attitude about the raw-food diet. If the world followed a runaway bride, it can certainly sit up and notice a young man who is so impassioned about sharing the health benefits of the raw-food diet, that is he is willing to hike 3,000 miles across desserts, through rivers and over mountains fueled on 100% raw foods! Let's do our part to share his story with others!
