Why, of course, Nan, you're invited!  It's odd that you didn't receive it in your inbox, as I sent it out the entire rawportland forum...pls see below (note: not a potluck, but a special kind of party).  Will you be coming alone, or bringing friends/family (want to make sure I  prepare enough food for everybody)?

      Come one, come all!

I'm always looking for an excuse to make money to help animals and January, 15, 2005 is no exception. I'll be celebrating 3 years of eating only vegan, raw and living foods with a big party at my house (expecting 100 friends and well-wishers before the night is through).

Instead of giving me hostess gifts and presents, invitees will be asked for a minimum $10 donation to POPPA (for more info about POPPA please visit www.POPPAinc.org) per person.

Guests will enjoy good company and a buffet of delicious food I'll put together from my collection of original raw, vegan recipes. Maybe Spanish Rice, Caesar Salad, Tortilla Soup, Chips & Guacamole, and Taco Salad, with a Chocolate Layer Pudding Cake for dessert.  Certified Organic ingredients whenever possible, of course!

Plans also include a quiet room in the back of the house to escape the crowd and view animal-friendly videos and movies such as Raw Gourmet Dishes Simplified, The Witness or Peaceable Kingdom.

And of course, we'll be accepting cash or checks made out to POPPA for our Recycled Yardage pet bandanas and possibly some other choice POPPA merchandise, as well.

My raw family means a lot to me and I would love to have everyone's company and support. The party will be held in West Beaverton at 5470 SW 149th Ave, 7-11pm Saturday, January 15.

      Dress: Whatever makes you happy.
Pets:  Please leave them at home (my dog and cat are king and queen of their domain).
Kids:  Under close supervision only, please.
Smoking:  Outside only, clean up your butts.
Alcohol:  Wine is raw/vegan--you're welcome to bring some if you'd like.
      Drugs:  NO WAY!!

For directions and to RSVP, please email me at spay@.... Looking forward to seeing you and yours!

      dear mark,

I did it this summer, just for fun and to keep myself open-minded and flexible.

no tips or warnings that I can think of.  for me, who was so healthy and had already been raw for about 2.5 yrs prior to trying the rainbow diet, I didn't notice much of a difference, if any.  now am back to eating my 'normal' raw diet and don't feel any worse for the wear.

your experience might be very different, however--one of my friends was struggling staying raw until she tried the rainbow diet, which she continue to largely follow well after the 90 days were over since she was doing so great on it.  she was able to kick her 'cooked foods addiction,' was the perfect weight, had wonderful health and beautiful skin tone, all from the diet.   she has since moved out of state, by the way.

anyway, best of luck to you and wouldn't it be fun to have a journal or blog of your experiences if you try it!

Will I be meeting you at my party Jan 15th?  did you get that email?

I'm planning to do Phase I of Gabriel Cousens's Rainbow Green Live-
Food Cuisine program for 90 days starting January 1.  Has anyone
here done this?  Or is anyone thinking about doing it?  Does anybody
have any tips, warnings, or other comments?

If there is enough interest in it, I might start a Yahoo group for
those who are doing or thinking about doing the program.  Write me
      if you're interested:  hovila@...

      Thanks,

      Mark
