      Are you, or do you know of anyone passionate about the creation of raw food? The Yummy Tummy Oasis is looking for a part-time assistant chef starting in August.

      The Assistant Chef is responsible for the proper preparation and presentation of "live" food for the Yummy Tummy Oasis. This position requires an individual who is willing to work for a fast-paced organization in a start-up environment, and has a great work ethic and positive attitude. Applicant must have a passion for a raw/vegan lifestyle, strong attention to detail and the ability to contribute ideas for the growth of our organization. This position will provide the right person with the opportunity to grow with us. We seek someone with strong organizational, leadership and problem solving skills that is a leader but also can be a team player with the ability to take direction.

      Essential Job Functions:

      • Work with owner to create and prepare exceptional quality food; prepares food in accordance with working menus and recipes
      • Assists in the production of weekly specials
      • Maintains and completes daily prep lists and tasks as assigned
      • Tastes and visually inspects all food ensuring the highest in quality
      • Ensures portion control for all menu items; focuses on high quality but is economical in practice
      • Ensures food preparation and servicing areas are clean and follows safe, sanitary food-handling practices
      • Orders and inventories all products used in the kitchen; makes weekly orders as needed
      • Interacts with customers, providing exceptional customer service; accepts orders and payments, manages cash drawer
      • Ensures equipment and supplies are properly stored
      • Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all CRC operations and any special events
      • Interacts with clients in a professional manner
      • Attends mandatory meetings
      • Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment

      Position is part-time 25 – 30 hours per week. Pay ranges from $11.50 - $13.00 per hour depending on experience. One year of kitchen experience preferred.
