      The Living Light Culinary Arts Institute has teamed up with Raw Food Doctors Rick and Karin Dina to offer Introduction to Raw Food Nutrition, a fun and informative 4-hour course. This course will provide an abundance of scientifically based raw food education via multimedia presentations and group participation designed to help you gain a greater understanding of raw food nutrition and give you confidence in the role of raw foods for greater health and vitality.

      Class topics include understanding the caloric density of various foods, the effects of heat on food chemistry, raw food sources of vitamins and minerals, vitamin B-12 and raw vegan nutrition, optimal blood sugar regulation, and the role of essential fatty acids in human health. The information presented is easy to understand and is for anyone wishing to gain a comprehensive overview of raw vegan nutrition.

      Dr. Rick Dina founded the Living Health Chiropractic and Wellness Center in San Rafael, CA in 2004, has been a staff member of the Hippocrates Health Institute, staff chiropractor at the True North Health Center fasting retreat, and a teacher at Bastyr University, and he has been a raw food vegan since 1987. Dr. Dina was recently a featured speaker of the Rawkathon, a free online living food event watched by over 14,000 raw foods enthusiasists worldwide.

      Dr. Karin Dina is a chiropractor in practice at the Living Health Chiropractic and Wellness Center, has extensively studied advanced nutrition and nutritional biochemistry, and has been practicing raw food nutrition since 1990.

      Dr. Karin and Dr. Rick are faculty members of the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, CA, where they teach science-based raw food courses.

      The Introduction to Raw Food Nutrition class is a four-hour class from 6pm to 10pm, and the class fee is $95 for pre-registrants or $125 at the door.
