picked camilla leaves and flowers from local camilla bushes)

3 quarts of water in a stainless steel pot.
Bring water to a boil. Add sugar. Simmer for a few more minutes. Turn
off heat. Add tea. Cover pot. Steep for 15 - 30 minutes. After it
cools, remove tea bags or leaves and flowers. Pour into a gallon sun
tea jar or a gallon pickle jar or a large glass cookie jar.
After 3 days (mild acidity) to maximum 7 days (high acidity), strain
the kombucha mushroom tea using coffee filter paper into a glass jar.
Refrigerator. Leave at least ½ cup of tea in the gallon jar with the
mushroom. Make more tea and add it to the gallon jar.
Kombucha mushroom makes a baby approximately every month. The baby
looks like a skinny pancake and is attached to the mother. The baby
slowly becomes partially detached from its mother. The baby does not
seem to completely detach from its mother. Upon separating them, be
careful not to tear them.
