      Hi ,
Still interested in using a RP for weak signal work , but the latency may be a problem, the data
modes I'm interested in using are JT65, JT4 and FSK441.
But has anyone tried taking raw audio from a receiver, using the onboard codec to produce a data
stream, and putting that data steam over ethernet to another RP to perform the reverse action.
So you have audio from the Rx over cat5 and audio out to another computer, laptop or what ever,
that is capable of running WSJT in near real time.
And if it will work in one direction there is no reason I cant run semi duplex.

The next step would be to extend the distance , taking account of latency , of how far apart you
could have the transceiver and computer running WSJT.

I can do similar with two computers running the remote as a virtual machine, but being able to hear
the received audio is a little harder, even when multicasting with pulseaudio..

If it can be made to work, it could be taken a stage further and the remote end integrated in to
the transceiver. The RP is small enough and probably as its low powered , able to be well screened.
