gives the claims from a UN study of use of several types of illegal drugs in the world.

In the USA, 14.1% of the pop. age 15-64 uses (illegal) cannabis each year. Notice,
this is much greater usage than in countries like Netherlands (7%)
      where cannabis use is legal.

So apparently legalizing drugs would reduce users (?). Netherlands has
lower use rates than USA for every drug category studied.

USA has 2.2% for cocaine use, 0.5% to 1.8% for various other kinds of drug (depends which
      drug-type).

Study also tabulates drug-related death rates (per million pop per year).
The highest is Iceland with 221 (the graphic on this is way wrong, you need to go to the spreadsheet).
No death rate number was given for the USA, but I'd guess
based on other countries with numbers it would be around 100.
