Does any one know where you can get Round Looms made by Cindy Alberts. I have several of her looms and think they are wonderful. Was trying to find a place where I can order some. I like the pegs they have little slits on the sides and a knob on the top to keep the yarn from sliding off when you knit off the stitches.
      Appreciate any ones help.
      Thank You

I really like the looms because they're so easy to use, which is always a benefit when you're learning something new.  I've made countless baby hats, some fingerless mitts, + 2 pairs of baby booties.  Currently I have 2/3 of a scarf done for my eldest Granddaughter and I planned on making one for each of the other 5 girls.  These were to be Christmas presents.  Unfortunately, I've got tears in my right shoulder so I can't do any yarn work at the moment.  This Tuesday I'm to have Nerve Blocker Shots and am not looking forward to that prospect.  I imagine they will be quite painful.   The Specialist's office is to call me with an appointment for an MRI.  Hopefully, they'll figure out what all's going on with my shoulder/neck areas so I can continue to make things.
            Enjoy your looming.  Take care.

                      Hi Alice:

Take care.
                      Janice

                      Hi Janice,
How do you like your looms? I started with the round one. I've made 2 hats so far. lol
I then went and bought the long ones. I haven't used them yet. I was/am having a fit with this shawl. It took me 2 times taking my yarn off and I finally have it, I think!! Then I bought the BIG Serenity Loom. I want to make a wrap next. I hope I catch on by then.
                           HAVE FUN!!

Finish off by cutting yarn leaving a tail about 9". Thank-you for your kind sentiments.  At this point any help would be appreciated in dealing with this pain.  When I can't make things I feel frustrated.  It's like eliminating breathing.  LOL

This is the real Alice.. lol  I am so sorry to hear about your shoulder. That's no fun when you have to be in that much pain and then to top it off, you can't do one of your favorate past times. My art's, crafts and knitting take my mind off my pains and worries. I'm off in my own little world, and I Love it.
What is wrong with your shoulder? My husband's shoulder is disintegrating away. He'll be forced to retire and have a shoulder replacement.
                                        God Bless you Janice and I hope you have a fast recovery so that you can have a wonderful Thanksgiving;

It was nice to hear from you.  Are you the Alice Fowler that made all the great Crochet Baby Sets that are Archived on the net?  I'm very impressed with them.  I wish I knew what size they make up into though. lol
As you say - making things takes my mind off the pain as well.
I had an Ultrasound that showed that I've got Tears in my Shoulder.  I'm still waiting for a call in regards to an MRI because the Specialist thinks there's also something wrong with my neck.  Whenever I move my arm, my shoulder grinds as well.  I'm sorry to hear about your Husband's shoulder.  I can relate to his pain.
Since I live in Canada, we have our Thanksgiving in October.  My Husband and I spent the celebration with my family, at my eldest Daughter's place 2 weeks later.  She closes down her trailer for the season on that weekend, so we always hold it then.

                                            Hi Alice:
It was nice to her from you.  Good luck with your future shawl.  I'd love to see a picture of it when you're done.
I started Looming the beginning of September and worked on things till the end of October, when I had to stop.  So far I've made 34 baby hats (some regular size plus preemie + micropreemie), 1 - 3 piece set which included a hat, booties, + mitts, a swiffer sweeper cover, and 2/3 of a scarf for my eldest Granddaughter.  I had planned on making scarves for each of my six Granddaughters as gifts for Christmas but I guess that will have to be postponed till next year.
The first thing I learned to knit was long-cuffed mittens with a lot of help.  That was when I was 12 (which was a very long time ago).  I'm not sure if I could manage them again or not.  I didn't pick up knitting again till around 15 - 20 years ago. I'm not sure if I could manage knitting mittens again or not.  However, I plan to learn how on the Mitten Loom set I recently bought from EBay.
I started crocheting when I was about 8 years old.  I pestered my Mom till she showed me how and have been doing it ever since.  For the longest time it was the only method I used to make yarn projects.
About 2 years ago I came across Croknitting and have enjoyed using this method very much.  I have taught it to a lot of ladies at my Church Group.  It goes very quickly and makes things double-sided with a thick thermol quality.
I have different kinds of free yarn patterns in files on my computer and would gladly share them if you'd like.  Any advice you want just ask.  I might have it stored in my brain somewhere too.  lol
Any chance you'd know how to teleport to the future?  I'd like to avoid tomorrow.  ;-)

I just talked to Cindy Alberts and they no longer make the looms.  Due to the plastic ones made in foreign countries.  It put them out of business.  What a shame because they aren’t the same quality as the ones I have made by her.  What a shame.
