"SHINING NEW LIGHT ON GOVERNMENT"
Speaker: Blair Horner, Special Advisor to NY State Attorney General Andrew
Cuomo and former legislative director of NYPIRG. Mr. Horner will describe and
demonstrate "Project Sunlight," New York State's new comprehensive data base
which tracks elected officials' voting records as well as donors, lobbyists,
special interests, and state contracts. He will also talk about how it feels
to be "inside" after years of working for good government from the outside.
Join us for an evening of enlightenment on state government.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14, City Affairs, 10:30 A.M. at the League office, 45 East
33rd Street. Shula Warren, Chief of Staff for City Council Member Gail Brewer,
will talk about the City Council and the Budget Process.
