Group Description

This e-Group is for all mainstream libertarians and small government conservatives of all parties who live in the Hudson Valley. The goal of this group is to advance an agenda of limited government, free markets and individudal freedom. The focus of this group are the following counties: Rockland, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Orange, and environs. .

The objective of this group is to influence public policy by formulating and implementing tactics that will lead to the group's goals, to exchange information and ideas, and to establish the the personal relationships that are essential to advancing our agenda.

It is envisioned that we will use many of the tactics that have been so successful for the MoveOn.org -- coordinated letter writing to the local and regional press to influence public opinion, lobbying our legislators at the national, state, and local levels in support of, and opposition to, pending legislation, and to support candidates in primary and general elections who share our values.

This group is sponsored by RLCNY. Founded in 1990, the Republican Liberty Caucus works to advance the principles of limited government, individual liberty, and free markets within the Republican Party and throughout American. The RLCNY is committed to electing pro-liberty Republicans in conjunction with are allies in the Conservative, Independence, and Libertarian Parties.

Our state contact can be reached at csvensson@hvc.rr.com. Our New York RLC website address is: under construction. Our state-wide eGroup is rlcny@yahoogroups.com . You can join this group by sending a blank e-mail to: RLCNY-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
